Product: High-Drop Stainless Steel Tumblers with Full-Wrap 360° Graphics
Printing Requirements:
Full-color 360°printing, high color consistency, fine-detail reproduction and stable
printing across raised, recessed and curved surfaces.

Challenges:
The customer produces personalized stainless steel tumblers featuring colorful,high-detail graphics. Unlike standard straight-wall drinkware, some tumbler designs include noticeable height variations, raised and recessed areas, and complex curved surfaces.
These surface variations create a greater distance difference between the printhead and the product during printing. With conventional cylindrical printing, this can lead to color shift, reduced image sharpness, inconsistent ink deposition and visible differences between high and low areas.
The customer therefore needed a printing solution capable of maintaining vivid color, fine details and consistent image quality while producing continuous 360° graphics across complex tumbler surfaces.

Solution:
Suntech provided a high-drop cylindrical UV printing solution optimized for complex drinkware applications.
Through precise rotary motion control, optimized printhead positioning, calibrated printing parameters and controlled UV curing, the system maintains more consistentink deposition and image reproduction across surfaces with different heights.
The solution enables direct 360° printing on compatible cylindrical and irregular drinkware while supporting CMYK color, white ink and varnish for richer visual and tactile effects.
For complex artwork such as gradients, fine patterns, high-saturation graphics and detailed illustrations, optimized printing parameters help reduce visible color differences between raised, recessed and curved areas.

Results:
The customer achieved vivid, high-definition 360° graphics with improved color consistency across raised, recessed and curved tumbler surfaces.
Fine patterns and highly saturated colors remained clear across complex height variations, allowing the customer to offer more visually demanding personalized drinkware designs.
The digital workflow also made it easier to switch between different artworks and produce customized or short-run orders without traditional plates, screens or transfer processes.
This expanded the customer’s ability to develop premium personalized tumblers, limited-edition drinkware and high-value custom gift products.
